About the collection
My eye kept returning to these works. I found myself looking for patterns, and for the feeling in each image. Some seemed joyous; others felt angry. That range kept me looking.
I found a similar visual character and range in scrimshaw’s work. I remember both artists publishing on Nifty Ink during the same period.
Collector introduction, edited from the collector’s account.
The artwork and the archive
This gallery brings together 600 nnxyz works and 26 works by scrimshaw. The Nifty Ink archive preserves 574 drawings representing 633 owned editions at its saved snapshots. Another 52 Abstract works have been recovered from the collector’s earlier public gallery.
Each Nifty Ink drawing is reconstructed as a native vector image from its archived brush paths. You can enlarge it, download its SVG, or watch the drawing emerge. The paths and their order are recorded; playback timing is reconstructed.
Abstract is presented from its original published JPEGs, with enlargement and downloads. Its earlier gallery records fifty numbered pieces, an origin titled #0000 and a proof-of-stake work titled #pos. The recovered records do not include brush paths or establish current token ownership.
Collection history
NNOTB means “New Nifty on the Block,” as recorded in the collector’searlier gallery. That account describes Faces as the first Nifty Ink series and Rawblocks as the third. Each collection keeps its original artwork titles; an “origin” title does not necessarily mark the first recorded drawing.
The earlier Abstract accountalso lists scrimshaw.eth as the gift recipient beside #06. This is historical context from the collector’s account, separate from the AI curator’s visual comparisons.
Curated with AI
The AI curator’s readings start with the artwork and archived records. They offer specific ways of looking, rather than claims about what the artist intended. Technical facts, collection position and interpretations are kept distinct.
The gallery shows an owned subset. Title sequence does not establish creation order or a complete catalogue of either artist’s work. Related works are visual comparisons, not evidence of influence.
