The story

The rooms show the art. These pages tell what was around it: the drawing board that kept every stroke, the collector who kept buying, the fan art he drew one evening, the three years of the artist's project, the year most of it was drawn, and what the artist has said in public. Every fact on them comes from the archive, the public ledgers, the artist's posts or the collector's own published writing, and each page lists its sources.

  1. Nifty Ink

The free drawing board that kept every stroke, and the small crowd that used it every day.

  2. The collector

Jamie Thingelstad found the board through a grant, bought one face, and kept buying until he held four complete series.

  3. Fan art

One evening in September 2022 the collector drew the artist's name on the board, and that night the artist liked it.

  4. The project

Three years on the board, four series and a closing, and what the artist made afterwards on other chains.

  5. 2022

The year most of the collection was drawn, month by month, with the market, the posts and the purchases beside the drawings.

  6. In the artist's words

The artist's bios and thirty posts, verbatim and dated, on the board, the burn, the index collection and what art is for.

A seventh page, Technique, reads the stroke record itself: what the order of every mark in 548 drawings shows, and twelve works drawn at five points in their build.
