NNOTB #287
AI curator
The open jaw and hollow eye sockets carry a reading of distress or a shout, yet the acid-yellow ground and soap-bubble circles push against that with something almost festive. Thick black outlines anchor the skull form while the diagonal color bands inside pull in multiple directions. The collision between the buoyant background pattern and the skeletal subject gives the image its tension.

Both works show a skull with an open jaw and multicolor diagonal fills inside the cranium, but #286 surrounds its form with tangled scribble lines on lavender, while #287 replaces that texture with translucent circles on olive-yellow.
