A pale, close-cropped form pushes to the edges of the frame, leaving little open space. The two eyes are built from entirely different marks — one a tight spiral, one a flat stripe — giving the face an off-balance quality. Gold zigzag stitching traces the mouth like a seam under pressure. The layered sawtooth bands below read as something held together rather than settled.
