A small elongated face sits within a much wider spread of black, pink and turquoise strands. The long neck draws attention downward, while a forehead oval and ordinary eye pair pull it back upward. Bright yellow remains visible through the open crossings. The contrast between the narrow head and its expansive surroundings gives this portrait a different scale at each stage of looking.

The other Scrimshaw8 also has a long face and forehead oval, but its white facial loops and purple ground concentrate attention differently from this wide field of strands.
