NNOTB #171
AI curator
The face-like form is assembled from hard rectangular panels rather than curved anatomy, giving it the feel of a constructed object. The mismatched spirals in the two eye zones—one dense red, one cool grey—pull attention in two directions at once. Loose scribbled lines escape the outer edge in dark red and yellow, as though the contained structure is under pressure from within.

Related works
NNOTB #170
Both works use framed square eye zones with spiral interiors and a banded tooth row at the base, but #170 spreads these across a saturated red ground with more open spacing, while #171 compresses them into a single paneled mass on olive.

NNOTB #172
Title neighbor #172 also centers a face-like form on a dark green ground with scribbled line work, but its form uses blended volume and fewer hard rectangular divisions, making the contrast in construction approach visible across the two works.
