Fan art

One evening in September 2022 the collector drew the artist's name on the board, and that night the artist liked it.

On the evening of September 28, 2022, the collector drew on the board himself. "nnxyz fan art #0001" went up at 7:18 pm Central time: the artist's name in the block letters Jamie Thingelstad had called his "one talent" that April, orange and blue inside heavy black outlines, the X crossing the whole frame, over soft washes of color and a frayed edge of red, gold and blue scribble. It took 114 strokes. Eighty minutes later he posted it.

One of my favorite artists on NiftyInk is nnxyz. Tonight I created “nnxyz fan art #0001” merging my block lettering with some of his effect.

By then he had liked the artist's drawings forty times. The first like came in March, a month before he bought anything.

At 10:53 that night the artist liked his. It is the only drawing by the collector that the artist ever liked.

Over the years his wallets would like the artist's work ninety times. That autumn he was buying the heads that hang in Portraits, one in September and two in the first days of October, and on October 16 he bought New Nifty on the Block #0000 and that afternoon the series came to him.
