Nifty Faces #55
AI curator
The face fills the frame almost entirely, leaving only a dark plum background at the edges. Spiral coils in each eye socket create a sense of pressure or alarm, while the open rectangular mouth—teeth visible, jaw dropped—reads as a shout or shock. Layered color patches beneath the white outline give the head a fractured, built-up quality, as if feeling and form are competing for the same surface.

Nifty Faces #56
Title-adjacent #56 shares the rectangular mouth-with-vertical-bars motif but strips the palette to dark amber and near-black, showing how the same facial grammar shifts from high-color density to muted weight.
